Programs for International Students
International
students are faced with the challenge of financing a legal education
themselves because of ineligibility for federal funding. There are several
lenders and nonprofit foundations that are designed to assist international
students in securing funding.
Global Student Loan Corporation
(GSLC) - GSLC offers student loans for international
students that do not require a US citizen
or permanent resident to co-sign the loan. (A co-signer in the
student's home country may be required. Often this co-signer

Program (ISLP)- ISLP is a loan
service for international students to study at US and approved

Education Resources Institute (TERI) - TERI offers
loans to international students in varying amount and may require

S. Rowe Pan American Fund -
The Rowe Pan American Fund disburses money to those students from

Education Financial Aid - IEFA is the premier resource for financial
aid, college scholarship and grant information for US and international

Foundation
Center – Site lists company sponsored aid and
scholarships, fellowships, loans, and internships that U.S. foundations
offer to foreign

Institute
of International Education - The Institute administers

Fulbright
Program – Program administration is through
the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (www.cies.org).
Students should apply through the Fulbright Commission in their

Ford
Foundation - Support for up to three years of formal
graduate-level study leading to a masters or doctoral degree.
Fellows are selected
from countries in Asia Africa, the Middle East, Latin America,
and Russia.

Rotary
Club Fellowships -Through its Educational Programs,
the Foundation provides funding for some 1,200 students to
study abroad each
year. Grants are also awarded to university teachers to teach
in developing
countries
and for exchanges of business and professional people. Former

to continue their
