Biography:
Simone is from Kingston, Jamaica and is a member of the
Caribbean Law Students Association at TMSL. During the summer
after her graduation from Tufts University, she worked at the Salvation
Army School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Kingston, Jamaica.
Seeing a need for child advocacy for children coming from low-income
households, Simone felt inspired to go to law school to enable her to
make a meaningful change in the lives of the Jamaican youth one day.
During her year break in-between her undergraduate career at Tufts
University and TMSL, Simone interned at the Law Offices of Georgetta
Glaves-Innis and Associates located in Roswell, Georgia. Her
experience there further solidified her passion for the legal field and
introduced her to areas of law such as family law, criminal defense,
immigration law and personal injury.
After completing her first year of law school, Simone
received a merit based scholarship from TMSL. She received two Cali
Excellence for the Future Awards for achieving the highest grade in her
Lawyering Process courses for both the Fall and Spring semesters during
her 1L year. As a Writing Advisor during her 2L year, Simone will
help incoming 1L students to develop their legal writing skills.
Simone is currently working in corporate law as a
Summer Legal Intern at the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority located in
Kingston, Jamaica.
