Communications

The Communications Department seeks to promote market and enhance the image of the School of Law through various communications initiatives. The Department is responsible for the oversight of internal and external communications, including media relations, promotion, public relations, publications, advertising, marketing and special events. The goal of the Department is to advance the brand of the School of Law by effectively and efficiently implementing marketing and communications strategies to articulate the mission of the School to its stakeholders.

The Department publishes DeNovo, the alumni magazine that highlights programs, events and activities of the School of Law. The publication is published annually, and is mailed to all of the School’s constituents. In addition, the Communications Department produces the following publications: Communications Briefs, a one-page monthly faculty and staff newsletter; Media Report that lists the School of Law’s coverage by various media outlets. The Department also works with the Dean to produce the School’s Annual Report. Press releases and announcements are available electronically for local and national media representatives. Moreover, the Department maintains a Resource Guide that lists faculty members and their area of expertise. The guide serves as a reference for media representatives.
