TMSL Alumna Linda Yanez is a Candidate for the Supreme Court of Texas

Linda Yanez, justice of the 13^th Court of Appeals is a candidate for the Place 8 seat on the Texas Supreme Court.  According to Yanez’s bio posted on the website of the 13^th Court of Appeals, she was the first Hispanic woman in Texas history to serve on an appeals court.  In 1993, then-Governor Ann Richards appointed Yanez to the 13^th Court of Appeals which sits in Corpus Christi and Edinburg.  Yanez graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2001.
