of the No Child Left Behind Act in relation to education policies.
The symposium
scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday,
February 11, 2006, will feature experts in the fields of education
and law including, Keynote Speaker Dr. Rod Paige, former U.S.

& Secondary Education Act for the National Education Association;
and Thurgood Marshall Professors L. Darnell Weeden and Faith Jackson.
“The selected speakers
are very important in the fields of education policy and civil rights,”
said Angela Harrington, symposium coordinator. “We are thrilled that
there will be so many notable people dialoguing with the community (parents,
students, teachers, school board members, and tax payers) on educational
policies of the No Child Left Behind Act.”
Harrington anticipates stimulating discussions on the problems with
the No Child Left Behind Act, and is hopeful
that the symposium will provide possible solutions to those problems.
“The question we all want answered is: who is accountable to whom?”
expressed Harrington.

symposium will receive 3.75 MCLE credit hours. To register for the symposium,
