| TMSL ALUMNI RUN UNOPPOSED
Thurgood Marshall School of Law is proud to recognize the significant
achievements of its outstanding alumni. Some of the School’s graduates
have become prominent attorneys, judges, government leaders, and public
officials. Recently, several TMSL graduates announced their candidacy
to seek public office in the 2006 election. Monday, January 2, 2006, was
the deadline to file for candidacy. As of Monday, all of the graduates
listed below are uncontested in their political races.

After serving 12 years in the Texas House of Representatives,
TMSL alumnus Jim Solis (’82) has decided not to seek re-election.
Solis represented District 38 in Cameron County.
