Haywood Jeffires, former NFL Player, to participate in Thurgood Marshall School
of Law’s All-Star Sports & Entertainment Law Conference

The Sports & Entertainment Law Society will host an All-Star Sports Sound-Off & Entertainment Law Conference from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2006, in the School of Law’s Moot Court Auditorium. 

Offering 3.50 MCLE credit hours to licensed Texas attorneys, the conference will feature prominent sports and entertainment professionals, including:  Haywod Jeffires, former NFL player for the Houston Oilers; Ricky Anderson of Anderson & Smith, P.C.; Maya Miller, child actress; Paula M. Miller, Wynsom Legal Management; Dr. J. Thomas Smith, The Law Office of J. Thomas Smith; Major Adams, Next Level Sports and Entertainment; James Bowie, The Law Office of James Bowie; Warren Fitzgerald, The Law Offices of Warren Fitzgerald; Melvin Houston, Melvin Houston & Associates, P.C; James E. McMillan, James E. McMillan, P.C.; Tony Bracy, Regional Promotion Director for Virgin Records; Xavier James, Promotions for Rap-A-Lot Records; Rashida Maples, J. Maples & Associates, P.L.L.C.; Alan Powell, CEO, T-Town music; Walter Champion, Thurgood Marshall Sports Law Professor; and Alois Blackwell, TSU Athletic Director.  Fox 26 News Reporter Melinda Spaulding will serve as the conference moderator.
