Communications Governor Rick Perry Appoints TMSL Alumna to Chair Risk Management Board Stephanie Simmons, a TMSL alumna was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to chair the Risk Management Board for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The major responsibility of the Board is to reduce and control risk by ensuring state agencies' ability to protect their employees, the public, and the state's physical and financial assets. Simmons, a certified mediator, is owner of Simmons Legal Consultants. A member of the State Bar of Texas, Simmons is a past member of the Houston Bar Association.
