  • “Domestic Occurrence of International Crime.” This lecture was given at the Quodlibet Lecture Series at Thurgood Marshall School of Law on October 17, 2007 and at the International Law Weekend “Toward a New Vision of International Law” sponsored by the American Branch of the International Law Association October 25 – 27, 2007 in New York City, New York.
  • “The International Criminal Court and the Rule of Law” This lecture was part of Balancing Research, Teaching, and Service, Research Week 2007, Programs at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, sponsored by the Faculty Scholarship & Development Committee on Monday, April 2, 2007.
  • “Linguistic discrimination in criminal proceedings.” This lecture was presented at the 2006 LatCrit XI conference which took place at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, from October 5-8, 2006. TMSL Associate Dean L. Darnell Weeden, and Professors Thomas Kleven, Lupe Salinas and Fernando Colon also presented at the conference.
  • Participated in a panel discussion at noon on October 12, 2006 on the subject of the Houston Police Department’s immigration enforcement policy. Other panelists taking part were Professor Colon and Associate Dean of External Affairs for the School of Public Affairs Carroll G. Robinson, Esq.
