What is the current status of the law school's Accreditation by The American Bar Association?
The law school is fully accredited by the ABA, and its next review will begin in 2014. Hence graduates of the law school are eligible to take the bar exam and gain entry to practice in all fifty states.

What Does the law school do to insure its graduates are academically successful and practice ready upon graduation?
The law school has a fully integrated academic support system that begins with a pre-enrollment "prep for law" program, and concludes with several senior courses designed to enhance bar passage and ensure graduates are practice ready. The law school is also one of the few schools who employ three full time academic Support instructors to assist in accomplishing these goals.

What is the overall bar passage rate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law?
The overall bar passage rate for TMSL for the past five years is 77.43%.

What percentage of TMSL alums obtain permanent employment after graduation?
83% of the class of 2010 were permanently employed nine months after graduation.  TMSL graduates work in a variety of sectors including private firms, federal government, corporations, public interest, judicial clerkships, and pursue advanced degrees.

When will TMSL begin reviewing Applications for Fall?
The Admissions Office begins processing in September and the Admissions Committee normally begins its
review in December.

What is your application fee?
$55 payable by Money Order or Cashier's Check.

When is your application deadline?

We suggest April 1st as the priority date to complete your application.

When should I take the LSAT?

The LSAT is offered in October, December, February, and June. We recommend that you take the test either
the summer before your senior year or during the fall of your senior year.

Should I take the LSAT more than once?
Only if you believe you can substantially increase your score.

How do you compare two (or more) LSAT scores?

LSDAS reports both scores, but also includes an average.

Do you take the higher score or an average?

The Admissions Committee will consider the higher score if there is a substantial increase.

Do you have an Early Bird program?
No, the School of Law has rolling admissions.

Does the school participate with the CLEO program?

Yes, we generally accept students who satisfactorily complete the CLEO program.

How much is tuition and fees?
In-State Tuition: $16,262.00
Out-of-State Tuition: $21,212.00

Do you have an Evening/Part Time Program?
We have a Full Time Program only.

Do you have any Joint Degree Programs?
We offer a JD/MBA and a JD/MPA.

What is the size of your law school?
Approximately 600.

Do you have Spring Admission?
