Law Library - Gifts and Donations
Thank you for your interest in donating materials to Thurgood
Marshall School of Law Library (TMSLL). We gratefully accept donations
for the development of our collection. Donations are treated
like new acquisitions and thus are evaluated by the same standards
applied to new purchases to safeguard quality, consistency, and
relevance to the needs of TMSLL users.
All donations become the property of TMSLL. The library does not
guarantee that donated materials will be added to its collection.
Any donated material deemed unsuitable for the collection may be sold
or discarded at the library’s discretion.
The library will issue a letter acknowledging the quantity and type
of materials donated. Any gift-in-kind becomes the property of
the law library, and donors should be aware that the final disposition
of the gift is in the library's discretion.
Any claim you provided to the IRS regarding your donation is a matter
between you and the IRS. Under current law, the library is not
able to certify the monetary value of donated materials.
Your list of items for donation can be faxed (Attn: Acquisitions
Librarian) to the library at: 713-313-4483 or mailed to:
