Dear Members of the Class of 2011,
Welcome to Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
The Administration, Faculty, and Staff are preparing to assist you in
making a smooth transition from undergraduate school to law school.
This transition will occur during Orientation Week, Monday, August 11
through Friday, August 15, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Daily attendance
is mandatory for each student. Dress is business casual, no T-Shirts,
Shorts, Sweat Pants. You will be required to sign in at both the morning
and evening sessions. Lunch will be provided for you.
An outline of the week is forthcoming.
The law school places you in sections and registers you for your law
classes. You are not allowed to request, select, or change a section for
any reason. Do not attempt to change the law school’s registration.
You will be subject to disciplinary procedures should you do so.
