Philip Jessup International Moot Court Competition Sponsored
by the International Law Students Association, the Philip Jessup International
Moot Court Competition is the world’s premier international law moot
court competition. The Thurgood Marshall School of Law fields a team in
the competition as part of the Institute’s program of international
legal education. The competition is a competitive endeavor and the competition
has been fortunate to attract some of TMSL’s best oral advocates. Students
taking part in the competition will receive two credits toward the
Certificate in International and Immigration Law, and if all requirements
are met, may qualify for the Certificate with 9 hours instead of 11. The
competition is also co-sponsored by the International and Immigration
Law Students Organization (see below) the student group affiliated with
the IIIL.
