Get Involved with Thurgood Marshall School of Law!
This new program will match third-year law students with alumni who are willing to assist BAR candidates through this often challenging and frustrating period of preparation. Once matched, mentors and students will communicate primarily by e-mail, but may also communicate by phone or in person and more frequently as the July Bar Exam date approaches. Mentors are not expected to answer substantive law questions and are encouraged to refer students with these types of questions to an Thurgood Marshall School of Law faculty member or bar course instructor. Students will be matched with alumni mentors in March.

Alumni involved in with the Career Services Mentoring Program agrees to be contacted by students with questions about the legal profession. Volunteers also participate in career panels, workshops, and networking receptions for students.

Admissions volunteers help answer the questions of prospective students and serving on alumni panels. Panels are held during Law School open houses and admissions fairs across the country.

| Mock Trial Alumni Volunteers
Alumni who are interested in coaching a team or acting as judges for its various competitions are invited to participate in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Moot Court Program. Students compete in inter-school and intra-school competitions on a variety of subject matters.
