Circulation of Law Library Materials
Law Library materials are checked out from and returned to the Circulation Desk. Faculty may generally have regular library materials for six months and journals for one month. Non-circulating or reserve materials may be checked out by special arrangement. While there are no overdue fines charged to faculty for regular materials, all items are subject to recall by other patrons, which will incur charges for late return.
Journals
Journals are housed in two places in the law library. Bound Journals are located in the main stacks because all journals are classified. Recent unbound issues of most journals are kept in a secure area of the library to maintain extra security. Feel free to ask for assistance to find the journal issue you need.
Interlibrary Loan
The Law Library Online Catalog, accessible via your office PC, is a convenient resource for identifying holdings in our library. For those occasions when you cannot find what you want in our library, you should make a request to borrow needed material via Interlibrary Loan. We will obtain books and photocopies of materials not held in our library upon request. Forms for making such requests are available at the Circulation Desk.
Book Orders
The Law Library will do everything possible to anticipate your research and information needs. If there is a title you would like to add to the library collection, please do not hesitate to discuss this with any Librarian.
